ERG stands for Educational Roleplaying Game. Make learning lively and witty by reliving some of the past’s most epic (or silly) stories with friends around a table. All you need are some dice, paper and pencils. In each book, a player will take on the role of the Game Master, someone who helps guide the other players and their history inspired characters through the past along their adventures.
Wave One
Below you find the Front Covers and Blerbs for our first wave of ERG! books. When these books do well, another wave of ERG will be made.
What other parts of history would you love to explore?
Pirates in Barrel
Pirates in a Barrel (PiB) was the very first ERG game ever! Originally meant to be just a silly pirate RPG, PiB slowly turned into a book filled with fun facts and awesome adventures from the past. Explore the infamous Golden Age of Piracy, learning of its many pirates, places and plunders! One player will become the Master Captain (Game Master) - while others each take on the role of a crew member on the ”Seven Seas”. All doing their best to stay afloat!
Greeks in a Horse
Greeks in a Horse (GiH) was the next ERG to be written, telling tales of the great soldiers, heroes and villains of Ancient Greece. With a title inspired by one of the Greek’s many legendary battles (a battle that is an adventure in this very book!), players may become hoplites and calvary all fighting and forging history as they do - meanwhile guided by the Master Strategos (Game Master) on their, sometimes mythical, quests.
Bards in a Globe
Bards in a Globe (BiG) was an incredibly fun book to write! This book allows players to go back in time to the Jacobean Era of England and try their best to cheer up a country so under the weather that even William Shakespeare struggled to lift their spirits! Explore the great city of London with the help of your Master Bard and produce the most influential plays of the 17th century as your very own theatre troupe - all the while surviving illness, blood sports and the utter embarrassment of your actions!
